Conference-Specific Information

IMPORTANT NOTE: The following information is specific to MSEC2024. The conference papers will be made available online and will be granted to paid full-conference registrants as part of their conference registration. The online version is not the official proceedings of the conference. Please see the ASME Presenter Attendance Policy.

Because a PDF of the final paper is required for publication, authors should follow the paper preparation instructions included in the ASME Author Guidelines. However, this information does not constitute the entire set of guidelines. Please review either before you begin your paper or as you navigate the instructions.

Conference Paper Templates

Download a Sample Word Template  for MSEC2024. A full paper should be 8-10 pages long  and will undergo peer-review.

ASME also provides author templates in Framemaker and LaTex for use in preparing conference papers for publication. For more information on templates, please visit the ASME Author Templates page

Brief Papers (New to MSEC 2024!)

Brief papers undergo full peer review and are published in the conference proceedings, in the same manner as full papers. A brief paper is 4-5 pages long. It reports technically original research that is of significant and archival value to the engineering community. A brief paper may contain preliminary work that has not yet been fully developed. An accepted brief paper is accompanied by a 15-minute oral presentation at the conference and a poster presentation during the poster session.  Download a template for brief paper  here.
